Review:
Roger Barrett works as a janitor part-time after school. If he didn't work, his family wouldn't be able to survive. But so far he's been able to keep his secret safe...until he decides to run for a very important race called the "Bart." Roger is an awesome runner, even the coach as noticed. But that's not all....the winner of the Bart gets a free scholarship...which Roger could really use.

After he competes and is eligable for the race (even beating Bruce Patman!) he becomes a school celebrity. He's always had a crush on Lila and now she's crushing back! However, Lila ditches him after she learns of his janitor job....but she tries to win him back after he wins the Bart, and throw a party in his name. But Roger isn't playing the fool anymore, he's walking away with Olivia, his best friend and the girl he hopes to now date.

And what do you know...Jessica suddenly decides she wants to go into law and begins working at her father's office. But soon she's spending extra hours there, and it's not to work either. She's totally hitting it off with a boy from a rival high school...until he tells her he's fifteen!

From 'the real' Eyes and Ears of Sweet Valley High:

First of all, way to go Roger. Except one tiny detail. Lila might be a rich and snotty...but she's rich, and what you need the most of right now is money! You should have left Olivia to write in her journals and partied it up with Lila and all her lavishing gifts and dough for as long as it would have lasted!

As for Bruce...don't let him lie to you. He did the first chartible thing of his life when he purposely let Roger win that race. Nicely done, Bruce.

And on to more trivial matters. Looks like Jessica's getting played, yet again. Wait...isn't she supposed to be a player? I heard through the grapevine that her boyfriened wasn't really fifteen...he was a senior but he wasn't willing to risk his repuatation at his home school for the sake of another taste of Jessica. Ouch, Jess!
