Review:
Jessica and Elizabeth are storming the Wakefield house in excitement! Suzanne Devlin (a sophisticated and glamourous daughter of one of Ned Wakefield's friends) is coming to spend two weeks in Sweet Valley while Jessica trades places with her for the time of her life in New York City!

Upon first sight, everyone loves the sweet Suzanne, who manages to catch the hearts of all the boys at a school picnic. Everyone falls in love with her sweet smile and her innocent charm. But Suzanne has her sights set on Mr. Collins and even pretends to drown so he can rescue her!

Later on, everything perfect with Suzanne turns out not to be as great as it seems. Not only does she steal Elizabeths beloved necklace, but she also shows up to babysit for Mr. Collins. While he's gone she purposely neglects his kid while she goes through his things and enjoys some time in his bathtub. When he returns home she flirts with him and really turns up the charm. Of course, Mr. Collins rejects her. This turns out to be more than what the spoiled Suzanne can take, so on the way back to the Wakefields house she rips her own shirt and postulates a horrific story of Mr. Collins sexually assualting her to get back at him.

This causes an uproar at Sweet Valley for which Mr. Collins almost loses his job! Thankfully, in the end Elizabeth figures it all out...big surprise, huh?

In the meantime, Jessica isn't having such a great time in New York. She unashamedly has been chasing Suzannes boyfriend, Pete McCafferty. For a long time all Pete did was ignore her, however, towards the end he buys all Jessica's petty flirting and tries to rape her!

From 'the real' eyes and ears of Sweet Valley High

Okay, so Suzanne really is a snobby, spoiled bitch. We can see that clearly! Even Elizabeth fears she will snatch Todd away, even if only for a few weeks! And of course, Todd would love a piece of that, if he could escape Elizabeth's clutches for long enough!

As for the whole regalia with Mr. Collins, well there are two sides to every story! Perhaps Mr. Collins did have his fill with the sexy and sophisticated Suzanne, but after turning her down for a stay over for the night and making her aware that this was just 'one sexual encounter only,' Suzanne felt used up and had to find a way to get back at the secretly perverted teacher!

On any account, rather Elizabeth planted that stolen necklace in Suzannes luggage or not, it was the demise of the beauty queen and all her stories fell apart in the end.

As for Jessica, she got exactly what she asked for. But whose to say it didn't go the other way? Maybe Jessica is just as guilty as trying to rape poor Pete, after all, we know how she likes to twist up stories in her own favor!
