Review:
Jessica is up to her normal, no-good tricks. Poor Robin Wilson is desperate to get a nomination and membership to th SVH's most popular clique, the Pi Beta Alpha sorority. So desperate, in fact, that she's ready for any challenge Jessica throws at her. Such as: running around the school track in front of anyone and everyone who wishes to watch and make fun of her; wearing a two piece bikini to play volleyball at the beach, stealing an exam from the chemistry teacher so Jessica doesn't fail class, and begging Bruce Patman to take her to the next big school dance.
Miraculously, she's able to do everything asked of her and yet Jessica still blackball's her from the group. For a while she disappears, then resurfaces. Robin goes on a diet, and then wages a comapaign against Jessica and the whole sorority when she asks for nominations for the homecoming queen. By this time Robin has transformed herself into a knockout. Even Bruce Patman (who snubbed her in front of the whole school after bringing her to a dance) is chasing Robin by the dresstail.
In the end, Robin does win Homecoming queen. She also officially snubs Bruce Patman in front of the whole school as well, when she asks to use his car to be escorted around the track after being crowned...and chooses Allen Walters ( a science geek) as escort instead of Bruce!
Looks like Jessica lost the crown and Bruce blew his big chance.
In the meantime Lila Fowler has become none less than a petty thief at the mall! Desperate for her father's attention, she's been stealing some very expensive and imported jewelry and goods then giving them to Jessica as gifts from a so-called aunt. She get's caught in the end though, and daddy saves the poor little rich girl before flying off solo to his next big business trip, leaving the desperate and whiny Lila alone again.
From 'the real' eyes and ears of Sweet Valley High:
First of all, let's just commend Jessica on her latest stunt in making fun of, and taking advantage of, a poor, unpopular, overweight girl. But, you wouldn't expect much more from Jessica than that, would you? Second, Bruce had a crush on Robin from the start. Don't let anyone make you think otherwise. But it would be unheard of him to date a 'fat' girl, so in order to keep up appearances, he had to break her heart, and blow his only chance. I guess being popular does come with a price.
As for Robin, she had the secret plan all along to ruin Jessica. After all, you can't blame her and Jessica more than deserves it.
As for Lila..puleeeasse!!! Another poor little rich girl having one of her self-interested dillemma's. Give us all a break, Lila. No one cares!
